Holding Our Broken Hearts: In Honor of the Hostages

July 1, 2024 Free
SVIVAH Broken Heart Hostages 7.1.25

They feel so far away. We feel so far away.

We can’t believe that it’s been NINE MONTHS of captivity for the remaining hostages. Our hearts break, day after day, week after week. We can’t stop thinking about Naama. And Daniela. And Omer. And Shiri. And Kfir. And Hersh.

We want to be closer – to them, to each other. We need a place to sit with this for a minute. And we’d love to do it with you.

In prayer and in merit of their return, this Monday July 1st, we have some beautiful, beautiful teachers who will share some teachings of resilience and strength – through art, music, poetry, movement — inspired by and centered around the talents and interests of the hostages themselves. We will also have an option to connect with others over the emotions so many of us are feeling deeply right now.

With Rabbi Avi Killip, Rachel Jackson, Rebecca Leicht, Rabbanit Dalia Davis, Rabbi Abby Sosland, Rabbi Jenny Solomon, Rabbanit Amalia Haas, Rabbi Rebecca Kamil, and Esther Sperber.

The only way to make it through this is together. We can’t do it any other way. And we don’t want to. We hope to see you.

Please invite someone you think might want to be with us, too.

This gathering welcomes women* 12+ and learners of all backgrounds. As always, SVIVAH welcomes all those wishing to be included in a circle of Jewish women. If you want to be with us, we want you with us, and welcome. Questions? Email connect@svivah.org
